The use of AI [Answer]

it's taking away from a lot of job opportunities. I've see people use AI to design logos and such so they don't have to pay for a graphic designer. It's also hurting a lot of artists, people being accused of AI when they're not using it, or people making a profit from it when they just typed in a single prompt with absolutely no work. Deepfakes are......   2 reply

This is a very, VERY nuanced topic at this point, and it is far too late at night in my time zone to go in-depth on, so instead I will simply give my opinion; If the AI tool being used achieves certain things, then it is acceptable to use. Those things being: 1. It saves time but is of standard quality. 2. It DOESN’T take away the opportunity ......   reply

I feel like you can use it for Grammar fixing and also the removal of objects in backgrounds. You draw the line at completely making new things. Because AI is supposed to be a tool that HELPS you not DO IT for you! Even Wall-E citizens wasn't this worse like some ai stuff are helpful to disabled ppl, like imma be honest mid journey was fun the fir......   reply

I hate how people think AI is either black or white. I'm not going to act as a saint and say I'm not using AI. My family is not well financially, so I use it for learning language and making me understand what I did wrong, because I can't pay for a teacher, and also because I don't have people around me who can explain what I did wrong. AI can help......   reply

I only use it for notes and editing my writing (not for school js personal) but I have seen it taking away from others. I saw an ad made by ai (it was so obvious too). I hope it's gonna be like the pre-electronic days where people thought machines would take away our work but we still had enough jobs to go around...   reply

I very much agree with the answer user Delyn gave. AI is, at the end of the day, a tool and it should be used that way. A tool is meant to help you with certain things, ease the work process and lessen the time. But not any way should AI be used to replace humans creativity and capability to do a work. It shouldn't be used to steal, duplicate and i......   1 reply

Even if Ai were 100% ethical in its current state I wouldn’t use it. Models hallucinate, are far too agreeable instead of factual, and usually require me clicking the source to verify anyway. To which they frequently aren’t even related to the question at hand. I don’t mind LLMs but it’s not like they’ve ever been useful to me personally.   reply
