A lesson on consent

It’s like a lot of you don’t know basic consent idk if it’s because too much porn has rotted your brain, but it is an important conversation to have one thing is reading it, and then not acknowledging the problem within the story bc rape happens in real life so it’s important to know the basis of consent and acknowledge what you’re reading.

I’m talking about Jinx specifically I see a lot of you use the same argument to say or deny that Kim Dan wasn’t raped bc he stayed or agreed to the conditions but consent isn’t just about saying “yes” once and then anything goes after that. You are supposed to consent throughout the whole entire act if you say no, you are in pain and begging the other party is supposed to stop! If he doesn’t that’s rape. Consent is not something you give once and can’t take back. Kim Dan stayed because of money, but that does not mean he wasn’t being violated. There’s many people who don’t leave abusive relationships saying that he stayed so that means it wasn’t abuse just comes off as a victim blaming remember, this doesn’t happen only in fiction. There’s people who go through this in real life who stay with their abusers bc they feel like they don’t have another choice that does not mean they’re not being abused.

Kim Dan was coerced into sex a lot of you don’t even know what that means and it’s concerning. He didn’t only do it for money he was pressured and in desperate needs. He was broke and in debt and Jaekyung had all the power money, control, and physical strength, and he showed him that by smashing that guy‘s head on the wall he didn’t give Kim Dan much of a choice. When someone’s in that kind of position and they will say “yes” it’s not always a free choice and that is what coercion is when you agree to something under pressure, threatened or bc they don’t feel like they have any other choice. That is not real consent. That is rape.
