I liked it. Was it some masterpiece? Hell no. It had a lot of flaws. But it’s overhyped because 1) kpop (duh) and 2) most animated movies are shit these days. I heavily disagree with u about ur last point. Nearly every Disney or Pixar movie within the last few years screams of cash grab nostalgia bait or its heavily focus group tested. Are you re......   1 reply

I think that might be a movie for children. Am I mistaken? Maybe try watching a movie aimed at your demographic?   3 reply

It's a cartoon made for kids, and I find that people go into it expecting too much. Not looking at anything else, I'll admit I like the music from it. I see a lot of people complaining that it's "mid" or trash; to be fair, it was simple, short, and delivered the message of "accepting yourself" (which is Rumi). and learning to deal with your demon......   reply

The movie captures a lot of young and fandom audiences. They have all around great songs, character design, kpop(big fandom), character lore(especially how did Rumi's mom met a demon that's probably a good natured guy for her to bang and what happened to him), it's not Mary Sue shtick cause they couldn't save the people on the railway station, funn......   reply

Hate to say it but K-pop fans are very easily impressed…. Like I don't think the movie was HORRIBLE but I don't think it was that good to the point it would be everywhere like this. I'm surprised. Especially the storyline being a little too underdeveloped because it seems they couldn't fit enough in an hr…the music was deadass direct copies of ......   2 reply

I understand that you may not like it, but it's not really wow quality, it's just that people love the story and messages behind the film. I didn't like it much the first time either, except for their songs, but I gave it another chance and forgot about it the second time. After watching it a second time, I understood some of the characters better ......   reply

Well, for me I don't understand how can people not love it? for me It's not overrated. I have watched bunch of stuff and read all kind of stuff over the years and I am 25 but still found the movie epic. It has all the element I love. K-pop, amazing songs, amazing characters and personalities and a new fresh plot and story not the repeated stuff. It......   reply

kpop has a huge ass fanbase and to bring it to a big western production studio would of course be a massive success it hits all the mark for a cartoon homerun: -love interest -decent looking characters -catchy songs -cute monster characters -a well known base material which is kpop culture it's bound to be popular visually, the reason it's popul......   1 reply

The soundtrack is the only thing saving that movie. The storyline was all over the place and was executed so badly that the plot holes can be spotted 10 minutes into the movie. Compared to Disneys “Mulan” and “Princess and The Frog”—that were shorter (or the same) in duration as KPOP DH—It’s a let down that they couldn’t organize ......   1 reply
