Censorship can get really ugly just like cancel culture. It will start off as this protect children narrative and then it will slide down to erasing actual representation for victims of SA & abuse, and the minority group. Instead of enforcing a program that teaches internet safety, they choose the 'invade privacy and control everyone' option.   reply

1. The solution to the ID issue is to have the government provide a service that can serve as proof that you are over 18. Which shouldn't be this hard, in all honesty. They're just lazy and they don't want to do it, so they push it onto the companies to handle it, which is generally what most governments do when something is annoying to handle. If ......   1 reply

Everyone in the US is saying to petition the bill in the UK, but petitions have never worked even after theyre recognized by their government. They always say it’s to protect the children but why is attention focused on parents that can’t prevent their child from surfing the internet. If they are afraid their child will see something the parent doesn’t like on the internet, best to limit as best as possible and/or prohibit the use.
