i can’t stop reading gooning please help

xiuyian xiuyian 2025-08-02 05:12:59 About question
(not literally) but as the title states i think at this point where most people most a doomscrolling issue i have the same problem but with reading manhwa and fanfiction with no end in sight. like literally all i do is go to work go to classes which takes up 8-10 hours of my life and yet my screen time outside of these hours (workin/studying) is still 8-9 hours. basically any free time i have i am just reading manhwa or fanfiction which started as a habit to cope with my heavy depression and depression back in my middle school years which i just never grew out of. therefore now i feel as if it’s just taken over my life. entering my last few years of university i feel like i have no passions no “productive” hobbies or interests and have no idea what i want to do with my life. all i enjoy in my life is this site (and the legal options) + a03. i feel like i dedicated so much of my life to just escaping through reading stories while everyone around me are so talented and grew their skills and hobbies in more “respectable” or monetizeable ways. whereas im still stuck where i was in the same spot as i was in middle school. anyone else relate or have advice / tips to navigate this realization

are your grades ok?

yes, then who cares.

idk why society keeps on asking everyone to be some sort of super skilled person, when there really isn't any need to.

the vast majority of people are normal and have normal hobbies.

you like reading jing yuan fuck luocha at 3 am in the morning? then you like reading jing yuan fuck luocha at 3 am in the morning.

people live for 20 000 days on average, why does life have to be so forcibly driven?

if you are just a normal person, then be a normal person.
