After I saw this topic, I went and searched for it and saw that he hide(mute? Idk the word) the comment section on his ig post where a lot of his fans were calling him out. Not really a huge kpop fan but just a casual listener (recently really tuned into kpop bcs of kdh and found songs or groups I fuck with) and I have heard of him bcs he's from a ......   2 reply

By your same logic, I guess me buying a Coca-Cola for my grandma is supporting Israel. Edit: in short, I don't care, my $1.50 a month for my grandmother who has raised me and taken me in is not the end all or be all for millions of lives. As if I'm the only person buying Coca-Cola or as if I'm an investor or stockholder; go bully a billionaire you ......   8 reply

Brand ambassadorships are usually arranged and negotiated by the idol’s management company, not the idol themselves. These deals are signed months in advance, and idols don't really have a choice in it; they're not independents. And the sponsorships don't necessarily reflect what they believe in.   reply

He doesn't care because he only cares about money. Also he is male so there's a big problem right there. IN GENERAL celebrity worship is stupid as fuck and you should feel like an idiot for being a part of that. He's literally just some guy, but worse.   reply

Well there are definitely a few possibilities. 1. He didn't have a say. His company decided it for him, and it is hard to explicitly turn down a large company like coca cola, especially with their "official stance" of not supporting any country. Everything they do as an idol is monitored by the company as well, like their social media. This could ......   reply

That’s totally dependent on you. Many people support companies knowingly and unknowingly. To say that you made a mistake supporting someone because of the beliefs of that persons employer is a bit weird as they don’t get a say in that company’s decisions. So totally up to you but still a weird thing to hold against them.   reply
