Hi! I’ve been professionally diagnosed with a panic disorder as well as an anxiety disorder so I completely understand where you’re coming from. Anxiety is tricky and you can’t completely stop it. Its also different for everyone as well.

Something that helped me a lot is my mindset when I’m stepping out in public.

1. Nobody truly cares about what you wear, how you act, how you talk, etc. So when you step into public, be confident! Don’t feel like you need to hide, cause you don’t at all.

2. When you’re in public, theres a 99.99999999% that someone else also feels just as anxious as you are. This helps me a lot cause it doesn’t make me feel lonely.

3. Find a coping (healthy!) mechanism. I usually fidget with my fingers or do breathing exercises when I feel a panic episode coming. This helps a lot more than you would expect.

4. Go out with someone trusted. Even going out with a friend or family member can go a LONGG way.

Hope this helps! You seem like a lovely person so don’t feel anxious! Be yourself!

I'm not the anxious type, but 3 things helped me with being more comfortable in public settings:
- Think and speak your mind, that's the healing power of self disclosure.
- Talk to professionals. In my case, I talked a lot to my advisors and to the writing tutors.
- The most important one, I worked a lot in sales, this changed my life, I wouldn't be as confident as I am today if I haven't worked in sales. I'm talking about partime jobs at small family businesses such as ice cream shops, restaurants or bakeries and so on.

If you can afford it, go see a sophrologist
If not, meditate, do cardiac coherence (you can find videos on youtube) before going outside
When you're outside smell lavender essential oil that you put on your wrist, and find 5 things you can see, 4 you can touch, 3 you can hear, 2 you can smell, 1 you can taste until you feel better
Hope it will help

I had pretty bad social anxiety before but it's been getting better, here's a few tips, hope it'll help you at least a bit :

1) If you're able to, it can help a lot to be followed/helped by a medical professional, once I found one that mashed up well with me it helped a lot : they gave me some advices, exercises and techniques to help with my anxiety and also listened to me which helped me feel less stressed

2) Practice at least once a day, when you're feeling relaxed breathing exercises : there are posts, videos or even applications dedicated to helping/guiding you on how to breathe
When you're in a stressful situation, doing those breathing exercises should then help you calm down, focus less on the stress of the situation
It's important to do those exercises regularly! It's not the end of the world if you sometimes forget to do them (I do a lot) but try to practice regularly
I personally breathe in slowly through my nose and then exhale slowly through my mouth, both for around 5s I would say

3) If you find yourself completely submerged by some stressful thoughts and that they kind of haunt you for a long time there is this exercise that can help : go somewhere where you feel comfortable/the most comfortable you can feel at that moment and during 15mn, write everything that passes through your mind, without thinking too deeply about it
You can do it on paper or on your phone
Once the 15mn are up, you either delete the note or throw away the paper
It's important to not reread what you wrote ! Otherwise you will think about those stressful things again a lot more
It helps to kind of air out all those thoughts to free your mind a little

I hope it will help you at least a little bit and I'm wishing you good luck ! Even if it seems really hard/impossible this anxiety and these fears can get smaller and smaller until they don't bother you as much anymore !!
Stay safe and have a wonderful day/night :D
