I can't call my boyfriend by his name

I feel so shy when im supposed to call him, so I end up saying "hey frog" "ghost" , anything but his name , is it normal?(´-﹏-`；)

See, I am the complete opposite my bf would call me all sorts of pet names but god forbid I ever call him one , always screaming him name instead reply
