why vegans are annoying
This isn't about every vegan, before someone complains about it to me. I saw an annoying vegan today, I want to rant, let me rant because this isn't the first time I've been annoyed by a vegan.
tldr: they force themselves on you like a seme does an uke in a rapey pornhwa.
Vegans fundamentally ignore the fact that people are people, and then turn around and pretend that they're doing something incredibly innocuous. They ignore the fact that people are people, and people will continue to be people. There are different types of people, but in the end, we're all just flesh bags.
Have you ever had a vegan come up to you and say, "I'm not trying to suggest anything, but if you know that animals are suffering, why do you continue to eat meat?"
And have you ever thought, "please, just shut the fuck up already."?
Let me ask you, what can you say to this?
"Yes, I like watching animals suffer." - You can't say this. Well, you can, and I do, but realistically no.
Anyway, for the less vindicative people, they won't be able to say anything about this. Because there is nothing to say. You eat meat, some animal suffered to reach to your plate, that's a basic fact of life honestly. We, as people, have created this very non-human expectation that people are somehow supposed to be feel immediate sympathy for everything that is related to killing as humans.
I sometimes feel like, I FEEL like, we basically treat ourselves as alien invaders on this Earth and that we're not part of it. Which is why, while I agree we need to protect our Planet, I always find it funny when Earth um healthy activists are like "humans have disturbed the natural ecosystem" - we... are the natural ecosystem...
We were MADE and BORN here, by Earth.
Ofc, still respect the planet and shit, but y'all, we respect it because it's in our self-interest to do so, cause we live here. It's not cause we're alien invaders that need to restore global peace. We care about our home. The inherent respect for an animal should come from the fact that we, ourselves, are also animals. And yes, a lot of vegans preach this, BUT THAT'S NOT ALL THEY PREACH, IS IT?
I think a lot of the points that vegans have are actually very good and they should be discussed. Like how we shouldn't overconsume and stuff, I do think that the food industry is disgusting, but like, come on.
There are a lot of vegans that just don't talk about that like it's the main problem, they talk as though your diet is the problem. They try to make you accountable for the world's problems. When you aren't. You aren't accountable for the massive corporate structures that make up the global economy of food. And you, as a very small and very pathetic human being, cannot possibly do anything about it. And I want people to stop saying "every little bit counts".
YOU ARE LYING TO YOURSELVES
You are being manipulated into thinking your rabid screaming does shit. When it doesn't. Because you aren't going to convince people into doing SHIT by acting like a whiny baby. You deciding not to eat meat is useless because in no way will there ever be a world where people just decide to quit eating meat, and the amount of people you need for this method to be useful is... astronomical. You need a cultural SHIFT to veganism that is fueled by selfishness, not... moral policing.
It's so annoying when someone treats the world's problems like it's something a small person can help do, when we all know that most of the time, it's because you convince someone in government that this is a serious issue and they create regulation about it. That's how this shit works.
And yes, more people can help with this.
But whether or not you eat meat doesn't affect this. They are separate things. You aren't doing anything by not eating meat. You are just trying to make yourself look better than others by doing it. "I'm not supporting the societal structures that do this!" - yeah, you aren't, good for you.
See if they care.
And that is why vegans are so annoying.
Because you can't say this shit to them usually because then they'll be upset and complain you're rude because ofc the vegans that pull this shit are also the same people who demand respect when they don't respect you. If an animal right's bill came across, we'd vote for it. And that is what matters. People's lives are busy, you are not respecting my time, my life, my choices, and my dignity TO EAT MEAT, when you say this shit.
And I just see people awkwardly just agreeing and pushing them away, only for them to double down and force you to accept what they say because they are emotionally manipulating you into agreeing with them. You cannot just say "mhm", you have to validate them and their feelings like they're four years old.
Idk why we've normalized some types of this kind of shaming, honestly. This isn't even just about vegans, but like, in general also.
But for the sake of the already too long post, I am just going to say, you can't morally bend someone's arm into doing shit. They just get annoyed and try to pacify you and leave. That's human behaviour.
You want to manipulate someone into doing something? You have to make them feel good about it. You can't guilt everyone into following you, you can only do that to some extent, aka to the point where their lives aren't affected.
Listen, if vegans could find a way to make veganism sexy... There would be a lot more people interested in it. You have to make people want it and morality is such a weak link because... it's not a morality issue. It's... societal. They are conflating eating meat with executive action. They oversimplify the problem into something you can do to help, and yes, in many cases this is ok, mass people helping can do things in small measures.
Veganism is not one of those cases.
Consider "Stop Killing Games" and even that almost died... Or the VISA/Mastercard issue, but you see both those cases revolve around people's lives being disturbed. The core fight that veganism is often trying to fight... is very abstract honestly. It's something very long term and very complicated. And not only that, it's fucking HUGE. It's a massive operation with implications across the board. Mastercard/VISA is MINISCULE compared to it.
You are arguing for the detachment of human production as though it is singled from the price of it. We all know organic and free range is expensive, we all know in this interconnected world, life isn't as easy as just saying, I'm going to stop.
Life is complicated.
4channers could barely finish making a hentai game, why do you think you can convince people to stop the cogs of humanity from turning day by day? The position that veganism is... is basically pushing for people to do something that is a) disturbing their lives b) unnecessary to solving the problem.
You don't need to stop eating meat to support ethical farming, and you can't convince enough people to stop eating meat. Go cry about it.
And I hate it when they pretend they aren't saying anything rude. Everyone knows what you are saying is trying to guilt trip people. Anyone with half a brain knows what you are trying to do. Idk how or why they claim that it's an innocuous question, when it's not. It's a loaded question. You ask it and every single question LIKE it, with the intent and purpose to be like, "see, it's morally unethical so you should stop eating meat". And then they be like, "noooo I'm not trying to judge you how eat."
They are.
And I'm sick, and a I'm tired of half of these vegans actively harassing you, and the other half pretending they aren't.
Anyway, once again, I am not complaining about all vegans. I know a lot of nice vegans and they understand it's a personal life choice and they do engage and valuable conversation about the meat industry... But to the bad actors out there... You are annoying.
If you are wondering why I came to this it's because I was thinking about Luocha and he has a line he says to Jing Yuan, which is, "It is natural for short life species to yearn for immortality".
Yes.
That is why.
I am not going to explain the mental loops I had to go through to make this connection because that would actually take a very long time, but that was the original thought.
I remember his lines. I listen to everything he says religiously. His CN VA had this one line in this fansong song and it was so cute coemcemc. I love him so much.
