Theses no reason for glp 1 weight loss drugs to be so popular these days
school me
gueniually don’t understand because drugs like ozempic which are for diabetes but has a weight loss side effect is hailed as the holy grail of a weight loss ( despite its negative side effects) which is why glp 1 drugs exist people act like that’s never existed before but cocaine has literally existed for decades, people acting like this is new shit when it’s honestly not
Blow, bars, dope, addy, ice, oxy basically every stimulant you can think of is an appetite suppressant not saying they don’t have negative side effects either but ahhh
Ik glp 1 it mimics a natural occouring hormone hence the name glucagon-like peptide it’s a complex science that I don’t fully understand But trying to read some of the academic papers and basically boils down to an appetite suppressant at the end of the day so idk why it’s put on a pedestal it doesn’t make sense to me
I think it's like unlike coke or Adderall that kill appetite by frying your brain, they mimic a natural hormone that safely tells your body “I’m full” while also helping with blood sugar. I still don't think they're good for you though. I mean like if you have a pill to lose the weight it's highly common to just gain it back
