i do grounding exercises that my therapist gave me (they're from this site btw https://releasedpdr.com/blog/grounding-exercises-for-dpdr) because i have ddd that’s mostly caused by anxiety + depressive episodes. i’m not suuuper sure if they’ll work for you but honestly it’s def worth trying!! they help me kinda reconnect with my surrounding......   reply

Everyone is different and reacts differently/needs different things while they’re going through a depressive episode. This may not be the best advice but I find that allowing myself to wallow in my depression is the best option for me. probably not the best advice since i myself am still trying to figure it out for myself, but i usally try to cry if i have it in me and if not that, then i try to play like a story focused videogame which helps with putting my mind off of my feelings for some time.   reply
