Chat, we care abt characters virginity now?
I was just reading this comic “monochrome diary” and in chapter 33 it features a scene where a character gets taken advantage of. It was so weird to see that put in a bad light in contrast to other comics that make it pornographic content, it just made me think why did this need to be fully drawn out then?... Like you can easily make it a “fill in the gap” type of scene but then I realized there are people who genuinely believe that jinx rape scenes are all consensual and it’s quite literally shown multiple times…), I’m not even sure the audience would understand that there was rape if it wasn’t shown which is just…I don’t know how I feel coming to the realization that people need to be shown rape or they won’t think a character had just gotten raped. (For example mouth washing??that whole fandom needs to be eradicated.) Like there’s rlly people like that. I’m still on the side that you don’t need to draw full on rape scenes to tell a story tho. When I was reading the comments of “monochrome diary” I was so baffled to see people more worried about his VIRGINITY??? AND HOW HE DIDNT GIVE IT UP TO HIS “DESIGNATED BOYFRIEND” OR SOMETHING. Like first of all chill out why are you worried about a FICTIONAL CHARACTERS VIRGINITY AND WHO IT GOES TO like I can’t believe I’m typing these words you can’t make this shit up
Anyway I just felt so sad reading that chapter I just tried read the dialogue and skip the scene as much as I could, he’s clearly coping in horrible ways and letting himself getting taken advantage of…sigh if only literacy was a thing…
Had something to say but can basically chalk it up to "I'm surprised you had expectations"
