Basically, Texas isn’t banning anime. What they’re doing is creating a new law (Senate Bill 20) that makes it illegal to own or share sexual or explicit drawings, or anime of characters that look under 18. It’s mainly to prevent CP and protect children from exploitation.   2 reply

It's a law against possessing visually obscene fictional children, including AI, anime, manga etc etc. It's not directly banning anime. The issue is that a lot of anime does this, and a lot of shows do this, like even the Simpsons. So technically, even Naruto would count under this law by their potentially vague definition of obscene. Which is wh......   reply
