Lipstick lesbian?
Does this term even exist anymore lol ? Someone got mad at me once using it but I don’t remember why
I used it in my early days of being a lesbian since I’m hyper femme I thought it fit me well think like pink, cartagins, dresses, lolita, fun earrings and makeup that was and still mostly is my thing
Idk if there’s any femmes on here or fem4fem but even though I like sapphic more I use the term lesbian but saying that I am a lesbian weirdly makes me feel more masculine then I actually am which I don’t really care for

Honestly i somehow forgot about that term, it just went from that to femme. Like the other people said, its probably bc its associated with the transphobic lesbian flag
And honestly i cant see how lesbian seems like a masc term to you
Ig people now have a problem w the term bc they associate it with the "lipstick lesbian flag" which was made by a very transphobic, and racist person, that also denied tte existence of nonbinary lesbians
Like, the term still exists ofc, and there are people that still use it, but kind of liked to the flag and the creator of it
Even though it's js a term to describe femenine lesbians, js like "chapstick lesbians" used for more masculine or androgynous lesbians
It's kind of linked* I can't fucking write omg
Lipstick is kinda outdated now imo, from 2020 onwards I mostly just see ppl using femme. But it's basically the same thing I guess. Anyways just my personal experience but I've never thought lesbian sounded masculine. Maybe growing up you might have associated that term with the stereotypical kind of butch lesbians portrayed in media. It also used to kind of sound weird to me to describe myself using lesbian but I kind of just got used to it.
