Using Taobao

I'm from the U.S but I really wanna buy things from taobao that I can't find anywhere in the u.s. I have siblings who I wanna buy clothes for (because american kid sizes are too big and unfashionable asf) and I'm getting mixed signals from reddit users. Some say I need to verify my account or something and others say to just go for it? Can anyone help out? I'd appreciate it

I'm gonna be real honest, the only time I bought from taobao was when I was in China and I could not tell you how I did it, bc even I don't know how I remember having to make an alipay account, but u need a chinese number for that Just as a tip, I do not recommend buying shoes, yes they're cute, but they're not from the best materials, it's basica...... reply
