I have way too much free time today, so here’s my collection of yearners I just NEED to share:
Hua Cheng: the yearner of all yearners. He waited 800 years, died, fought 33 gods, rejected entering heaven, all for an unrequited love who didn’t even know he existed (and whom he wasn’t sure was alive).
Lan Wangji: 13 years of waiting, 33 lashes......
