Depends on the media for me. Like movies for example. I can't stand romantic comedies. It feels like the same set up over and over again and it's never funny. There are comedy movies I like. There are romance movies I like. But I've yet to find a good blend of the two. (Also, objectively, the one genre that's truly "never done right" is anythin......   reply

Seinen romance is usually okay. Shonen romance is so awful. I can name on one hand the amount of shounen romance that still holds up. As bad as a lot of shoujo from the 2000’s and early 2010’s ages, when a shonen decides it’s main focus is romance it’s like eating a sandwich and then finding out it’s been poisoned on the last bite.   1 reply
