Depends on the media for me.
Like movies for example. I can't stand romantic comedies. It feels like the same set up over and over again and it's never funny. There are comedy movies I like. There are romance movies I like. But I've yet to find a good blend of the two.
(Also, objectively, the one genre that's truly "never done right" is anythin......
