I srsly think my friend likes me

I did wonder why many people asked us to whether my friend and I are dating or not. So, out of curiosity.. I asked some of those people why they thought that way. They literally said his tone and gaze were soft around me, and I didn't notice. He'll even tell me that he received gifts from his admirers and so on (I don't really gaf), and it feels like he's gauging my reactions. He'll be doing acts of service, which I don't think he does for other girls or his guy friends. Walk me home at night, gives me what I ask (including the stupidest things), and looks for me most of the time. Although I pretend not to notice our friendship is.. quite extraordinary, he's seriously overly committed to our "friendship". Not gonna lie, I wanna know what's going on in his head.
