Learning alot about women medical stuff + religion
Today I just found out that women can have the type of tumor called teratoma (idk if i spelt it right) but basically, you can have something inside you like flesh, bones and hair. Like similar to a baby. According to some of my searches, its formed in the ovaries usually so yeah... Can technically have something inside you without even fucking. Another thing i find why this is interesting is that nobody and I mean not even religious ppl, will consider this a life but will do to a fetus yet they consider abortion as a sin.
One is yes a tumor, but it made me question just cus it had like sperm cell, this fetus is a life?? Fetus can stop growing and die while inside a woman. I mean medically some doctors do label it as a non human being but religions holds that belief back. Both can be a danger to a woman if not removed. It also now just made me realize that damn the reason why women's health is barely even studied is due to religions.
In some countries, period is somewhat of a shame thing to have like they will literally wrap a pad like 2-3 times for some reason like it's somewhat embarrassing to just hold a pad around. Also history wise, women always just had to be covered because practically their whole existence is sexualizing.... Its still prominent to modern times now like school with women's shoulders lol

PAUSE i thought teratomas were not sex exclusive? Like men can have them too
I didn't say they were, its just more common towards women. I'm not an expert but I did some research, its apparently rare for men to have it than women. The peak incidence is in women in their 20s and 30s.
would you like to know something equally fucked up? The number one cause of cervical cancer is HPV, which is a sexually transmitted infectious disease. Connecting the dots here and oversimplifying things, but that would mean women having sex with men specifically (because penetration, although to a lesser degree I suppose this can be true of couples using toys) is the most common cause of cervical cancer.
Cervical cancer is the fourth-most common cause of death from cancer in women.
yeah teratoma is a mixed tumor, and it does happen though relatively uncommon. there's also hydatidiform mole and choriocarcinoma if youre interested in reading about that. and the thing about pads is still true, especially in rural areas. though there are people trying to break stigma. the only way to erase these misconceptions is health education. for the upcoming generations as well as the older ones. cause trust me i've seen the misery and taboo being passed down generations. education is the only way the only solution. and more than that responsibility needs to be instilled into them old folks minds for anything to change.
So true. Bought pads today and the store had it wrapped in a brown paper bag, then put that in another bag with the other stuff I bought. I told the store lady I didn't need it and she was visibly awkward/flustered about it. She still gave it to me in that double packing lol.
Mum keeps saying "married people" instead of "sexually active" and I was like, why do you even do that? She just said she preferred to not talk about 'it'. It's gonna take many more decades for things to change, from the looks of it.
The pad in paper situation is so relatable lmao, i just look at storekeepers in the eye and say "I don't need it to wrapped", and they don't wrap it but some do look uncomfortable. We need to normalise this.
