Maybe Monster by Naoki Urasawa. I’m pretty sure you can buy a physical copy of it. I would also say it definitely has deeper meanings behind it as well, though they definitely flew over my head.   reply

This one isnt a manga but a black and white(?) comic about World War Two following the perspective of Jews and what they went through, but everyone is rats. It’s REALLY fucking good, made me cry a lot too, I think your grandpa would like it a lot. The Weight of Our Sky!! Its a webtoon based off a book so he can have the best of both worlds. Not an easy criteria! But I'll see what I can suggest. -Monster by Naoki Urasawa isn't my thing but is pretty widely regarded as being fantastic! -Vinland Saga is more epic-style manga but I love it!
