Couples that in your opinion have no chemistry?
Which couples in your opinion have no business existing because they make no sense, but more importantly, they have no chemistry?
Here are some of mine:
In general most shojo where the guy is cool and collected and good in school
and the girl is a bonafide idiot.
More specific;
Usagi and Mamoru (aka Serena and Darien)- I don’t care that they’re soulmates or lovers from a previous life, what exactly could have a college aged teenager find attractive or interesting about a 14-year old loud mouth crybaby?
Tohru’s parents- Again, what besides her brokenness attracted Katsuya to Kyoko? Both of them were messed up in the head so in some twisted way I can see how he would find Kyoko “entertaining”, but what about after the newness wore off?
Kureno and Uo- I don’t believe he was in love with her. He’s a sheltered man with a truncated childhood who attached himself to the first person outside of his cage that was nice to him and she was a teenager who was flattered that this handsome older guy was “in love” with her.
Ichigo and Orihime- no sexual tension at least on his part. He has more
chemistry with Yoruichi.
Sakura and Sasuke- the quintessential wtf? Couple. We’ve all already heard that argument, but he definitely had more chemistry with Naruto (even if it wasn’t romantic).
Mei and Yamato. He would constantly belittle and disregard her feelings it pissed off.
Itsuomi and Yuki. I felt like their relationship moved so fast and it was supposed to be a slow burn?? They’re also bland as hell and one dimensional.

I think Serena mellowed out with age, but I agree. They’re a lavender marriage. I feel they only got together because they were soulmates.
It should have been
I disagree with the Naruto one. No one should have to date Sasuke. It should have been GaaraxNaruto.
A couple I’d like to add is Goku and Chichi
I actually really liked this c......

Even after reading the manga and getting all the missing context, the pacing of them getting together was so forced. I was actually questioning whether they even like eachother even after the timeskip

A Lot. Not to hate but it's basically the reason I don't read romance stories for romance, is because I feel they have no chemistry because how do they even like each other. I feel like they spend no time really getting to know each other. And even when they do spend time talking to each other and having three chapters worth of dialogue, it's just ......
