Turn your phone off, turn your TV off, turn off anything that might entertain you. Lay there and stare at the wall. Eventually you will get so bored that studying (or other chores) will start to seem like an appealing choice. This is the only thing that works for me.   1 reply

My fuckass adhd brain needs rewards and to SEE the effects of my studying so a combo of this app (focus friend), 10 minute breaks, and a fun drink as a treat is the only thing that keeps me/makes me study. This is gonna sound weird, but condition yourself by using study music. It can be a pomodoro video, some background sound (personally love rain) or anything you prefer. Whenever you have a good mental health day and are kinda motivated, use that music. Whenever you don't, sit in the same surroundings and put that music on every single time. Your br......   1 reply

try making a cute little mantra to repeat + take a deep breath to refocus yourself;; also use your breaks wisely (drink water, move around, do a puzzle) and maybe find an activity to accompany studying that helps you lock in more (like doodling for 30 minutes beforehand, reading a short book, making a to-do list, having tea, etc.);;;; but good luck......   1 reply
