Especially with BL readers of 2010s. The 2010 has served as up with BL with fucked up concepts like Rape, Forced Sex, Questionably pedo, questionable pairings, the Kabedon, The No means yes BL mentality.
Someone is asking about super lovers to trigger this topic. Nowadays, people are quick to point out it is pdf manga but way before.. ethics about super lovers age gap is a highly debated topic with actual readers justifying the fact that Haru and Ren age gap.
So, I wanna ask how did the old yaoi fucked you up too??
It’s so crazy to think that almost every bl back then consisted of sa or rape…tbh arguably there’s less sa and rape in bls casually put as “sex” scenes today.
Anime/comics like sekai ichi were my one of favorite (unfortunately that was peak to me when I was a kid) and it was one of the bl’s that had the least harsh sa scenes of bl back ......
