How do I fix it? I have a possible meet up with some friends in DECEMBER. D E C E M B E R. And I've been stressing about it so much I can't do anything. Sometimes we don't even meet until JANUARY. That's THREE FUCKING MONTHS FROM NOW and I'm struggling to breathe. I have to go because every time I skip an event because of social anxiety it's just solidifying that events are scary and makes the next one worse. I've known these people for 7 or 8 years now and still would rather meet with a group of starving lions.
I imagine everything like a game. Talk like an NPC to random people. Just saying good morning helps. The expectations of starting a good conversation is what sets you up for failure. reply
