if the story's good, why not? what you're willing to read changes, you put up with less bullshit when it comes to shitty art or bad writing because you're an adult with less time and more responsibilities so you want to spend your time reading something actually decent.
like the other person said, since yaoi was brought up (these are not all historical): Wet Sand, Walk on Water, Between Fate and Fortune, Into the Rose Garden, The Boundary of Delusion.
Non-yaoi: absolutely LOVED was My Beloved Oppressor. Sister, I Am the Queen in This Life - ok this one is silly BUT somewhere mid-way they started to use near-Shakespearian English and it was SO. GOOD. That translation was was FIRE. And someone else picked it up and all the period-appropriate English stopped, I was very sad.
i feel like i will lose interest in many things in my 30s, is it the same for everyone? Focalors
not really? even if you are suffering from depression (like many people in their 30s) there's plenty of things that are interesting if you look for it.

additionally there are a lot of fanworks etc, being made constantly by people in their 30s and 40s. people can have interests at every age. its a myth that people in their 30s lose interest in things. a lot of the people i come across in fan spaces are ppl older than 25 and ive even found ppl in 40s etc in these spaces

It depends on how your life is structured. If you're married with kids, you'll have less time in general, so maybe. But we got grown men out here still playing video games for fun, don't assume you'll just lose all interest in things that brought you joy - some yes, some no.

I do, but I am far more picky on what I'd like to read. Mentally juvenile relationships are a fast no-go. Certainly do not prefer school BL
what type of bl do u read?

what do u read on ur free time?
I mostly read romance stuff, but I dabble with whatever's popular at the mkment in other genres (action, fantasy).
Since it's a BL topic, I specifically love mangas like Ten Count, Seven Days, Mother Nature, Deadlock
Period dramas that use actually historically appropriate language.
can u recommend me some?
