Literally practicing every single day and immersing yourself is the only way you’re gonna get better, everyday I would spend x amount of hours to learn this language and listen to a podcast everyday or a show in my target language and try to write down the words while listening and then translate that especially if you don’t have a speaking par......   1 reply

Perseverance and constant exposure to the languages you want to learn. Also, focus on one single language first and only start learning another one after you’ve already reached at least intermediate level in the first one. I learned Korean first and it took me 2 years to be fully fluent in it, now I'm learning mandarin because it's required in my major. It takes aloooot of time to fully learn them so do it one by one. I mean I still have bad grammar when it comes to English and only learned from movies mostly.   1 reply

i only have enough spanish comprehension to stay one chapter ahead in High School Boy translations (and recently to read the last two chapters of a dog fucker yaoi) so i don't ACTUALLY know how to get fluent... BUT i think it's easiest to follow a curriculum, either via classes or downloading 2 good textbook recommendations + use vocab apps like ......   reply

For more casual learning I do Duolingo (usually learn languages for travel purposes so I need to be able to read a menu but don’t have to be fluent). For extra exposure: watch a show in your target language (start with one in the same family as your native language ex: Spanish and French are both Romance languages).
