In my humble opinion. It is due to bad manhwa adaptations. Many Manhwas came from novels nowadays and if you solely read on to manhwa only exclusive the pacing is so bad with a lot of scenes being cut needlessly. Like kiss me if you can, how to survive as a player, to me who doesn't love you and many others suffer from this.   1 reply

i really recommend you read Antidote (Harusari) then, if you want a good plot, good storytelling, characters with depth (and not just the main 2, including the "villains" and allies, etc.) it's ongoing but like worth the read so far! also godtier art, i aspire to have that level of skill as an artist tbh. and yeah i get what you mean, most BLs now......   reply

Every single manga by Takahashi Hidebu is good, and all of their works are bl And I kinda agree w you, this is why I normally ignore popular bls, and just spend A LOT of time going through pages and pages on the yaoi/shounen ai genre, looking for something that catches my interest That's how I have fun w it, cs there are sobmany hidden gems better......   1 reply

Ppl really out here missing out on historical Shoujo manhwas, like ik u Said u didnt Like straight that much but even without relying on the romance allot of them have good plot with depth, like a stepmothers marchen or, there is no place for fakes, death is the only ending for the villainess.
