Not heart shattering tbh, but it really does highlight some of the the struggles faced by gay people. It's one of the anime movies that have the best gay representation imo. Mysterious skin (2004), it deals with really heavy topics, and the subject matter is really really bleak. don't go in expecting romance and healthy relationships. maurice (1987), it's sad and heart shattering, but it does have a happy ending.   reply
