Don't know what you mean by yuri not being taken seriously. I think its just less popular. Looking at manga genre sales charts and yaoi just makes ALOT more revenue than yuri its not even close. It’s true that BL is more popular than GL but not because of misogyny imo. It’s because a major part of romance readers are straight women and straight women love hot men. In my opinion, I don’t feel like it’s misogny. I just feel like it’s a much smaller demographic lol. When it comes to romance books there’s a lot more women consuming them than men. The majority of women are heterosexual so it makes sense that romance involving men would be a bit more popular. Plus I feel like I get the same type of respons......   2 reply
