Thoughts on Yaoi Manga/Manwha Artstyle Quality whenever you read?
Generally speaking, I’ve had my fair share of reading manga with old art styles — you know, the ones where the proportions are off, the anatomy feels awkward, pointy chin, large eyes and the overall look is kind of messy. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate those works for their stories and the charm of their time, but after going through so many of them, I’ve grown a bit tired of having to compromise when it comes to art quality. I think that’s why my standards for the manga I read now are much higher. These days, I find myself wanting to read works that not only have a compelling storyline but also deliver visually.
However, there’s this one manhwa — I won’t mention the title — that I’ve been trying really hard to get into because everyone keeps saying it’s amazing. The problem is, the first few chapters were honestly kind of rough. The art felt inconsistent, and it just didn’t pull me in the way I hoped it would. I heard it gets a lot better in the later chapters, both in story and visuals, but I just can’t seem to get past the beginning. I’ve been stuck on it for two days now, which is actually pretty long for me since I usually binge-read everything in one sitting when I’m hooked. I really want to see what everyone’s raving about, but the lackluster start is making it hard for me to fully connect with the story.
Any tips!!? Or similar experience if you did what did you do?!
I dunno if its the story not doin it for me or just the artstyle itself

I know, 2000 manga style gets shit on a lot. But I adore that artstyle. Especially the proportions. I find it more soulful than today's artstyle. So much so that I go back to reread them haha. The artstyle has never bothered me in any manga. And I'm sure it's an unpopular opinion cause I have seen a lot of people drop stories cause of art style. But I hope you can atleast give 10 chapters a try. Recently I rediscovered a decade old manhwa cause the story didn't pull me in last time. This time I rated it as a masterpiece. So yes, push yourself to get past that and if you didn't still enjoy it it's fine, no big deal. Also I'm so curious about which one it is
