Never had a homophobic phase because i grew up with a mother who genuinely thinks that all humans are bisexual and being attracted to women as a woman yourself is a totally normal part of your cognitive development (the closet is glass, mother). Never had a racist phase either because why would I? Even 8 year old me with unrestricted internet acces......   reply

I think its better knowing it was just a phase. Hateful stuff like that has been passed around for so long that it became a standard. Its not something people would willingly become its just something they were exposed to as normal until they were called out or realized it was wrong.   reply

Most of those were internalised hatred to themselves, or how the pop culture does it. Thanks to unfortunately cancel culture, minorities are being portrayed more beautifully and respectful.
