tbh i don’t know shit abt japanese but fu or “腐”, which is the character that is responsible for the syllable “fu”, means rotten or fermented… my guess is it’s cuz there was a certain stigma around reading BL and that’s why they named it “rotten girl”
and hime means princess, idk the exact character but yeah, pretty sure hime......
