What’s your « I almost died » story ?
Random 11pm thought. I was remembering my trip to Portugal with friends this summer. We were staying in Porto and decided to head down to Lisbon for a day. Unfortunately, I had my period and between the heat and all the walking, I was dying. So when we got to the city center, I asked if we could hop on the historic tram so we could sightsee without me suffering.
But we eventually decided to keep walking instead, since we only had one day and wanted to explore every corner we could. I figured I could push through the pain a little longer, so it was fine.
When we got back to our Airbnb in Porto, our families started blowing up our phones (I’m talking grandparents, distant uncles you only hear from once a year type of calls) because there had been a deadly accident (16 deaths) involving that same historical tram, around the same time and in the same area we were at.
Just imagine if they had listened to me and we’d gotten on that rusty metal relic… I thank God every day that we chose to walk, because we could’ve been part of those same 16 people that died.
Have any of you experienced something similar ?
My dad. Literally my dad was the reason I almost went 6 feet under and the ripe age from 10-16 ️

My fatass cat decided my face was a good pillow and sat on while I was asleep, safe to say she literally almost suffocated me, then had the nerve to meow when I shoved her off me

It was when I was in middle school. I remember eating a lot at lunch and I got sleepy. My parents reminded me not to sleep immediately after eating but I was just chilling in my room and my body couldn't help but to fall asleep. Long story short, I vomitted while asleep and almost suffocated. Good thing, I was able to wake myself up before I litera......

I was in my 3rd year of college and we had to sleep on XL Twin size mattresses (so there wasn't much room for tossing and turning in bed). The bed frames were adjustable and you could raise them several feet up (like a loft bed). I had mine raised cause it gave me extra storage space.
Anyway I was sleeping one night when I turned over and woke su......

Not really similar at all, but I had DRESS syndrome when I was 16 and was in the hospital for months. My organs were affected and every day felt like hell (literally. My skin felt like I was set on fire).
All because of some acne medication.
