What's loneliness like for you?

Hi friends and foes! <3 I'm doing a project about loneliness and isolation. I want to know what loneliness is like for you. What does it feel like for you? How do you try to cope with it? Why are you lonely? Basically anything about your experience with loneliness I want to hear it. Isolation as well if you've felt that way before. I think we've got access to more people than ever before but somehow we're only growing lonelier. But, I've only existed as myself so who knows. I'd love to know your thoughts.

Please don't answer if you think it'll make you spiral thinking about it because I know it can get pretty dark in that corner of the mind. Protect yourself <3

I'm in a pretty good place with it right now so I'll spill. I've been a pretty lonely person over the course of my childhood to now. I've had periods where I've had zero friends to a whole bunch.
