Copy the social skills of others : How do they initiate a conversation, what kind of questions do they ask... Personally when I'm feeling awkward, I just ask the other personn a ton of thing about her/him. People love to speak about themselves, and if they're a good personn, they will ask you back   reply

Sorry to be such a debbie downer, but I think there's no way to get rid of this piece of shit condition. I've literally tried everything, from gradual exposure to social situations, to relaxation techniques and having healthy habits, and none of them helped... What helped was to look at it like this: Do u remember the face of a passerby? What about their clothes? You probably don’t- and the same can be said about the people around you. For me, I got a fast food job and forced myself to interact with people. At first, I could only interact with customers simply bc I had a script to go off of in my head. start with tiny steps even standing outside counts. use simple scripts (“hi, this please, thank you”) so you don’t overthink. bring comfort armor music, hoodie, favorite shoes and reward yourself after each step. small wins build confidence fast   reply
