It can refer to two things:
1. True Crime Community: Internet fandom interested in true-crime media, mostly crime documentaries or those god-awful Netflix adaptations; there's a LOT of hybristophiles in that community btw, I once saw a mf Adam Lanza (Sandy Hook school shooter) x y/n fanfic... gives me the creeps
