Sometimes authors needs to be arrested too

Cause when i found out Stephen king wrote an unnecessary sex scene in the IT novel, i was horrified because what was the purpose of adding a child gangbang into that... I think they said it was around the ending? What's up with authors adding unnecessary shit that has nothing to do with the plot.
