both are good as long as artist knows how to use space. hot take but colored manhwa usually have ass color that look like a baby scribbled it in they are better with no color. I dont know if this answers the question. if anyone comes after me with example key word usually.   reply

I'm partial to manga format. But I don't think webtoon format is bad. I just feel like manhwa artists don't really do anything interesting with it.   reply

I am good with both. But I prefer the second format. Maybe you're mentioning 4-koma stories. Like old comedy mangaas. I love them. ️   reply

It's hard trying to figure out a way for phone readers to be able to read your art while keeping the panels interesting and well done. I'm making my own webtoon right now and I'm struggling whether I should be considerate to the phone readers or have an actually decent layout. I’d take an amateur artist who understands formatting and how to create the illusion movement with their work over the former any day. I think it’s honestly a much harder skill to develop than purely the art itself and yields a much better result. The writing in the former tends to suffer as well because of the constant expository dialogue. And......   reply
