I screwed up
My small community's having a collab with a certain embassy in my country to make an event. Community's chief held an interview for anyone in the group who were interested to be the person in charge. I thought I'd try it out only bcs I wanted to practice doing an English interview AND bcs I thought, surely, since the group has like a few hundreds of members, more people would be interested. Basically, my strategy was to just say I have almost 0 experience (cus I do) and not be chosen.
Only 2 people showed up.
Me and another girl.
When I listened to how well she answered the questions, I was relieved. But then she fricking revealed that she has a 9-5 and is out of town. And there I was...
Now I'm the PIC... Only bcs I can speak a bit of English and that the other person's got a full time job. Idk what struck me but I just said yes. Idk what the fuck I'm doing. I may be in trouble lol.
Also additional info, I'm only a candidate officer for the community. I'm not even official yet, I feel like the chief should've questioned his decision more or sumn.
It's been a few days, I've just confirmed the heads of the divisions and am soon gonna have the first meeting with head of event. I don't know how far I can take this, I'm already stressed out even though we've barely started.

Congratulations. Give yourself some grace, it's not gonna be comfortable and it’s ok. Pretty sure in some time you'll be happy you got that position. If anything, i should learn from you and step out of my comfort zone too. You will get experienced as time goes on, don't stress about that. I believe in you
