trope you dislike

I hate the "let's go against fate and win" trope. I prefer it more when "fate" wins but it wins in a different way.

A romance stroke I hate is the "they knew each other as kids" instead of putting in the effort to write a real connection. Bonus hate if one of them has completely forgotten their past connection. 2 reply
