mine is to always gives yourself a way out. a lot of people don't think about it, but this can range from anything to making sure to not tell everything about yourself to a friend to telling someone where you are before you leave alone. if you truly care about something, never give it to someone else.
Don't dwell on things that cannot be changed. The more you dwell on it, the more you're gonna just hurt yourself and degrade your self-worth. The more you end up reopening the same wounds again and again, the more you hurt yourself. Yeah heavy on the oversharing, I have a compulsion to confess about my ailments. Especially when I don't necessarily need to with a person. (Surface level friends who don't really need all of my info)
