Her way of greetings

this POS reaction

like ok we get it you're gay and you love your so called bride of child marriage, who's a man but that doesn't give you the right to be a mysogynistic pos and glare at a random girl who just said hii in the most respectful manner smh. Like i would've folded then and there if a princess talked to me like that. Good thing he didn't deserve her anyway.
Bl authors trying not to include mysogyny in their story challenge: impossible. And the glazers jumped me in the comments when i pointed it out LMFAOO

I also really disliked how he looked at her just because she greeted him but I genuinely think that calling a whole character “misogynistic” for not responding warmly/glaring after being greeted feels like an overreach… let’s be real because characters are allowed to have boundaries, bad moods or selective interest, right? Plus expecting a man to fold just because a beautiful woman speaks to him reinforces its own gendered expectations.
Not every unflattering interaction with a female character qualifies as misogyny. Call it rudeness but not misogyny.
Also I’m not sure if you noticed but in the panels before this the king gives Tei a specific look and Tei nods in response. This strongly suggests they were already in agreement… To me it looks like Tei knew he had to step down at the king’s request so the princess could pursue a political relationship with Shuraka (presumably with the long term goal of them falling in love and marrying and thus forming an alliance between the two empires). Imo a princess raised in this environment would be aware of these kinds of political maneuvers so I’d say it’s innaccurate to frame her as completely naive/innocent in this situation. Shuraka picked up on what was happening and became frustrated, which he expressed by glaring at her. That reaction is rude yes but it doesn’t automatically make it misogynistic. Misogyny implies a deeper and systemic contempt toward women and a single glare in a politically charged context doesn’t meet that standard. Just saying…
Ok
What a loser, she mogs him in every way anyway.
Right
They may be gay, doesn't mean their not assholes authors keeping things real. Even if a bl reader gets isekai'ed into a manhwa, remember the misogyny exists there too lol.
Jokes aside, I agree with you. If a princess like that greets me I'd most definitely fold. There was no reason for him to be an asshole unless he knows something we don't.
He was just being an pos for no reason.
