No you are not overreacting. Making jokes about rape in any context trivialises and normalises it. And only people who don't understand the enormity of gender violence and how entrenched it is, can make jokes about it. No need to accommodate such behaviour or langauge, better to nip it in the bud even at the risk of sounding 'oversensitive'.
