they also threatened the site owner of comick a couple of months ago. kakao had his info, and he was forced to stop and remove all the chapters from the site, which led users to review-bomb all of kakao apps. now comick has been turned into a manga tracking site
(edit: i had to delete the second image i posted because it contained a message that the mod deleted after a few minutes passed, apparently because it could be legally used against them.)
I think it was about two years ago when a manga reading app had to stop updating, due once again to kakao's threats and a dmca notice.
