lyrics of When I grow up
"And when I grow up
I will be smart enough to answer all
The questions that you need to know
The answers to *before you're grown up.*"
It made me realize that most people nowadays, especially adults, think that another adult or even themselves is already knowledgeable about everything, that you can't make mistake. But if you really think about it, every day, every hour, every minute, or even every second, we are all constantly learning. A young child could make a big mistake, but the same applies to an adult. Now, that I`m talking about this “grown ahh adult,” insult it’s actually a Shit insult people use. They always be thinking, an adult couldn’t make a mistake or those “grown ahh adults” who just happen to grow up, but continue to express their interests, like in anime and such not worthy to listen.
Additionally an example of this is, there was one TikTok about a guy whos really kind made fun of a product. He said, “This product is useless and for lazy people blah blah” something like that. But then people informed him that the product was actually for disabled persons, which made the influencer realize his mistake. He deleted the video, apologized, and explained.
do you think that influencer will acknowledge his mistake is wrong if no one pointed it out? Is he not worthy to listen after he made that kind of things he said??
I wish more people had that kind of mindset—where they analyze their own mistakes, take accountability for what they did, and let others judge whether to give them a second chance or not.
I just hated that everyone will think once your own grown up you no longer allowed to have a mistake because you "already know everything"
sorry I`m having Matilda fever haha
(Yes I already said this, I just want to add on my experience)

Oo i do understand what you're trying to say on the second part, but also as I've said, people can't be knowledgeable about things they haven't experienced or have seen around them.
While i do think research is absolutely a necessity, sometimes we do remain in this preexisted thought and speak out on it. I think the fact that the creator actually learned and apologised is a pretty good thing, and it's also the fact that he did face criticism in the process. We're all humans, it'd be odd if someone went through their life without making mistakes here and there, i think the most important thing is to learn to change and own upto the mistakes, also why it's necessary to be in different social groups.
An example would be of people who grow up in a highly religious household where being lgbtq would be punished harshly and thus they'd probably be rude towards such people, where with time they learn to socialise and thus learn that lgbtq+ people are as normal as everyone. Without them having experience or learning lessons, i think it's really not necessary.
I always like your take aways (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
Hello.
I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate you for saying this. I completely agree. It’s always so painful when adults are shamed for making mistakes instead of being given the chance to learn and grow. I feel like that’s one of the reasons so many adults become cynical and tired of the world. There are many reasons, of course, but this is a major one, at least to me. Everyone deserves the opportunity to learn, and we have our entire lives to grow. When people are shamed, they tend to close themselves off rather than stay open to learning. Maybe that’s also why elders sometimes react so strongly when they’re corrected.
As an adult myself, your words made me feel so much better, it genuinely felt like a warm hug. I hope life treats you with the same kindness and understanding that you show to the world.
You made me cry because of this. I really want to add to what you said "Everyone deserves the opportunity to learn, and we have our entire lives to grow."
This is really huge for adults, because I would rather have an adult who realizes their mistakes, takes accountability, and understands that they did something wrong than adult continuing their mistake because people refuse to talk to them and just leave instantly or continue to hate them, rather than helping the person realize what they did and make them learn from their own mistake.
Oh wow, person of your word, you really did take that cat image.
Hahahaha
