(Posted this already but doing it again to help ease the panic, hopefully)
Lovely humans, please take a deep breath and give it some time, like 24 hours (for me it was 24 hrs but close friends who have experienced this before have varying times at most a few days).
I have been through this whole song and dance several times and they will return, it just needs time.
Think of it like restarting a computer. When it turns back on, it takes time for everything to fully load. The system wakes up first, then all your security programs if you have any, then the apps slowly start opening and some take longer than others, especially if you have a lot of stuff saved on your computer or an older device. Same thing here. The site just needs time to finish rebooting.
So just give it a bit. Search for the mangas you know by name and read those for now. aAnd be thankful, at least the site itself is up, and that is what really matters. Lists can be restored or rebuilt (although it takes time and it won't be the original but you can rebuild) but none of it matters if the site is down.
Also, please for the love of all things unholy, I know it's been said before but DON'T share the site (no links or names), gatekeep harder than your bathroom habits and be sneaky pirates so that we don't lose our main ship, mkay
Also, tips if this happens again. Save your readings in actual lists. The site lets you create your own lists which you can title yourself “want to read” or “have read,” etc, and those do not disappear after a shutdown.
Another good habit is bookmarking the chapter of a manga you last read or caught up on. The only downside is it can get repetitive, so when you bookmark a new chapter, delete the old one to keep everything clean and accurate.
We'll get through this everybody, I promise.
