Update on Reading List Status
Hey everyone. I’m a fellow user who’s been on the site since 2019, and I had a reading list with over 12,000 entries.
After seeing what some Mangago users were saying about waiting for data restoration, I decided to be patient. For a while, that actually paid off since I got a couple hundred titles back (a mix of rated and unrated).
At some point, though, the restorations stopped entirely. I reached out to the webmaster to ask about the status, and this was their response:
“One of our data disks crashed and we lost part of the user data several days ago. We can only restore manga that were rated or tagged when added to the list.”
So… yeah. That’s basically the situation.
Either it’s time to drop the site and touch some grass, or start rebuilding our lists manually because everything else is gone.

Honestly as someone who never tagged/rated anything and basically lost all of my stuff, I did crash out over it at first since my accounts hold over 10 years worth of stories. But ive been having a blast the last few days
Digging through tags and lists trying to find my stories was really fun, trying to remember the plots to add tags on it or rere......

ive come to learn to make peace with it—things just happen, be it for a reason or not. it did sting that the library i accumulated over the years is gone but at least the site hasn't gone rogue or deleted

fk... I've had this account since 2018 and had like 4000 in my reading/already reading... now there's like 80 of em... I don't remember shit I'll hold out some hope that maybe they are still recovering since so many people's stuff is missing it can't be just from one disk right...

i hope that the devs (if they even still exist lol) take this constructively and back up the rest of the data... but tbh, not too sure what you can expect from an illegal website.

I feel like crying... the past 6 years ... nearly gone had i known that tagging would safe my sorry little arse someday I would have done it diligently. Now I have to work with what's left and be reminded again, that this site is also just an endangered place as any part of the world out there nowadays
