The nerves go away with experience for the most part. I'm pretty entrenched in my career at this point but I still feel nerves when put on the spot. I'm pretty shit at networking, but it may be good to make friends with your peers at work. Superiors are a lot harder to become friends with tbh, maybe just being eager works?
