About 22% of bls released in the last 7 yrs is shounen ai which doesn't seem much of an impact but here me out, the number used to be 76% which is shocking if you take into account the data I gave were taken straight outta my butthole
As someone said before BL always had and always will have a rape problem.
Japanese comics were rampant with it but manhwa (from what I remember) wasn’t too bad with it. It was definitely present but I don’t recall it being extraordinarily bad.

The stories you mentioned rationalize rape even more in these spaces. Even if it is not the intention, there were still unintended consequences. One example of the unintended consequence is the rampant rape apologia within these spaces. reply
